History of Magic Travel

Magic Travel (Pty) Ltd is a well-established private company, incorporated under the Companies Act on 20 April 1989. The Company is owner-managed with twenty-one years experience in the travel industry. The directors and shareholders are involved in the day-to-day running of the business, resulting in a dedicated, personalized and effective customer service.

Since commencing business in 1989 we have grown phenomenally and are rated as one of the top Travel Management Companies. In addition we pride ourselves in the financial security of our Company and resources to deal with the financial implications of large corporate travel accounts.

South African Travel Centre (SATC) – Affiliation

Magic Travel forms part of The South African Travel Centre (SATC) group. SATC was formed in 1997 after the signing of a global alliance between Lufthansa City Centre and SAA. The SATC concept is a global affiliation of travel agency entrepreneurs, recognizing the flexibility and competence of independently owned travel agencies and world-wide service demands. The SATC members are privately owned full-service travel agencies, who subscribe to common business ethics and quality standards integrated into one network.

Magic Travel joined the SATC Consortium in June 1998. Presently the SATC Group is one of South Africa’s largest travel consortiums with over 90 outlets across Africa.

On 01 February 2005 the SA Travel Centre Consortium launched the Corporate Travel Management Solution, positioned as the premium corporate brand. There are currently only thirty selected franchisees in the major centres around South Africa and Magic Travel is proud to be one of the leading franchisees.

The SATC group is rated as one of the largest travel consortiums in South Africa. Owing to this, collectively we have the purchasing power and negotiating abilities to deliver the most innovative and cost-effective solutions. Through our preferred suppliers we have access to outstanding products and discounted, fares, rates and packages for the international and domestic markets.

Magic Travel is a fully bonded agency with both IATA (International Air Traffic Association) and ASATA (Association of South African Travel Agents).
